João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil

17 11 2011

After posting pictures of Olinda, Brazil, it’s time to show another beautiful Brazilian city, João Pessoa, located at the Paraíba state.

João Pessoa features a number of major touristic attractions, such as a historic downtown area, many churches, beaches and more.

If you’re planning a visit to Brazil, don’t forget to include João Pessoa to your plans, you may consider to stay about four or five days in Olinda and another four or five days in João Pessoa, and will certainly have a pleasant stay. Don’t forget to visit the craft shops in the region.

Hope you like the photographs.

Château de Fontainebleau, France

5 11 2011

On this trip to Paris we passed through the Eiffel Tower, Opera Garnier , Louvre , Luxembourg Gardens and the Pantheon and the most beautiful Paris square, the Place des Vosges, at the Marais district.

Now is time to get a train at the Gare de Lyon for either Montargis Sens or Montereau, alighting at the little and charming Fontainebleau-Avon station, then take the ‘Ligne A’ bus destined for Les Lilas, alighting at the ‘Château’ stop. This way you will reach one of the most beautiful places in France. Forget about the beautiful but crowded Versailles. Fontainebleau is the place to go if you’re searching for beauty and tranquility.

Hope you like the photographs.

Place des Vosges, Paris, France

23 10 2011

After posting the Eiffel Tower, Opera Garnier , Louvre , Luxembourg Gardens and the Pantheon photographs, we’re going now to, in my opinion, the most beautiful Paris square, the Place des Vosges, at the Marais district.

When in Paris and at the Place des Vosges, you must enjoy a lunch or a dinner at the La Place Royale restaurant and check out the Gateau fondant au chocolat et creme dessert.

Hope you like the photographs.

Palais Garnier, inside and outside the Opera, Paris, France

14 10 2011

After the photographs of the Eiffel Tower, certainly one of the most photographed places in the world, now is the time to post some images of a beautiful, athough not so popular place, the Palais Garnier, a theatre also often referred to as the Opéra Garnier, Opéra de Paris or simply the Opéra.

For those who want to visit the Opera check it out the official website of the Opera National de Paris – www.operadeparis.fr

That night my wife and I saw a beautiful concert of chamber music with pieces by Mozart and Mendelssohn, a night to remember. =^)
